Paul Foote
Artist’s Statement
To me, all art is abstraction as it is filtered through the artist’s own personal perceptions, experiences and most especially, his interpretation.
In my own art, I weave together diverse elements and materials to create a personal journey of discovery and enlightenment. My work celebrates the interplay of texture, color, and narrative, inviting viewers to explore hidden layers and discover their own stories within the composition. Each piece is a conversation between past and present, a dance of spontaneity and intention. Through my art, I seek to evoke curiosity, spark connections, and celebrate the beauty of imperfection, the magic of fusion, and the endless possibilities of creation.

Born and raised under the Florida sun, Paul Foote embodies a time when children roamed freely and used their imaginations to paint the world in vivid hues. Over time, Paul’s artistic repertoire expanded. He explored various materials and techniques, including clay, pen and ink, watercolor, and acrylics. Each medium contributed to his development in understanding composition, line, shadow, and form.
Today Paul uses a variety of media such as acrylic, ink, photography and created, collected, and found materials to create his mixed-media art, collage and monotype artworks.
