My career has spanned over 30 years as both a commercial & fine craft artist. Early glass pieces started with traditional stained glass panels. Later, fueled by a desire to incorporate unusual contrasting elements with glass, I developed innovative methods of layering & fastening. With that, more dimensional work emerged. Mirrors with glass, wood, metal & stone have an organic feel. Inspired by Art Deco architecture, elegant fused glass clocks featuring glass pendulums are layered with light, color & movement. Lamps designed and constructed from antique elements are crowned with elaborate glass & metal shades that I consider to be “feminine-industrial”.
Pushing the boundaries and exploring the possibilities of what I see & am intrigued by is at the foundation of all I create.
