Donald Martin Jr.

Award-winning painter with a lifelong dedication to fine art, inspired early by the masterworks of Europe.

Don creates realist paintings from his studio in Thornton, NH, drawing influence from artists such as Rembrandt, Vermeer, the Wyeths, and John Singer Sargent, along with the traditions of the Hudson River School.

His work is recognized for its meticulous detail, refined impasto layering, and a balance of sharp edges and expressive brushwork—qualities best appreciated in person.

Featuring landscapes of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, Lakes Region, and Seacoast, along with Wisconsin farm scenes, Don also enjoys wildlife subjects and portrait work.

Each piece is created to connect with collectors—offering meaningful, lasting additions to the home.

Don lives in Thornton, New Hampshire with his wife, Pam. He and Pam have two children, a son-in-law, and a granddaughter with whom he enjoys spending time. He continues to find inspiration in the natural beauty that first drew him to New Hampshire in 1982.
